The following will give progress pictures of the Pender Island Project.
An introduction to the project team first:
- The Timber Frame was built by Christopher Peterson from Argenta, BC.
- The team for the framing for the Strawbale work: Tracy Calvert, Cindy Walker and Elke Cole.
- Lots of support was given by the owners and friendly neighbors.
- The Natural Building Skillbuilders, a group in training at O.U.R.Ecovillage, came to help raise bales.
- Strawbalework by Cindy Walker and Elke Cole
- The plaster team : Elke and Cindy with Claire and Kim, and briefly Anna, Pascal and Ela

July 1: Concrete Slab, ready for framing

Timberframe elements cut and numbered, ready for assembly on site

July 5: The ridge beam is almost up!

July 10: Preparing the framework for the Bale Raising

July 10: The first bale is in place, let the bale raising begin!

At the end of the day the walls are taking shape.

August 11, update: Cindy fitting gable bale

As the last bales go into the south gable , the decking closes the roof
